I HATE SNOW!!!

So, living in Middletown is very far off from living in Buffalo! It is December 19, 2008 and we are getting our first snow of the year... there have been flurries and such; but until today no accumulations.
Today was awful.... woke up this morning and drove to work in very nice weather. It started snowing about noon and hasn't stopped yet. We are expecting about 12". I know that isn't much for someone who grew up in Buffalo but let me get to the annoying part...
In Middletown, The plows don't start until after the snow has stopped falling. that means that my commute home from work was horrible. The highways were covered in snow and it was impossible for my tires to get traction...I was slipping all over the road. Probably the worst weather I have ever driven in! (And that includes when Jessica, Todd, Roy, and I went on that double date in the storm of 2001, when we got 6 feet of snow in 12 hours!) I got home and pulled in the driveway and now my car is stuck on the hill, blocking the whole entire driveway. I walked up to the house and then had to walk back down to my car to get my purse. On my way down the hill I slid and totally busted up my ankle! At least it's finally starting to feel better!
I TOTALLY AM READY TO MOVE SOMEWHERE THAT IS DOESN'T SNOW ANYMORE!
Unfortunately, I'm no so sure there are any area's of the country that gets absolutely no snow.. I think i should go to Africa.

Christmas is almost here

I CAN'T BELIEVE CHRISTMAS IS ALMOST HERE!!!
Just over a year ago I remember waiting amidst the crowds of people outside target at 6:00am just so Sean could have guitar hero for Christmas (and at a great price). Then we hiked through the mall to try and find the best deals possible... now, it's a year later and I am totally unprepared for Christmas this year. I've barely started my shopping (well my shopping for Sean is done at least); but the rest of my family, I don't even know where to start with ideas for the... TOTALLY CLUELESS!

Nevertheless, trust me i am EXCITED! I'm still just like a little kid on Christmas morning... waking up and running down the stairs at my parent's house to see all the gifts under the tree (last year, I ran up the stairs though 'cause I spent Christmas with the Haney's)

9 MORE DAYS AND CHRISTMAS WILL BE HERE!!!!
WOOOHOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Christmas in the City

Have you ever been to the City (New York City, that is) in during the Christmas season? It's amazing... mind you there are thousands of people that you have to deal with but that's just a small obstacle! The are Christmas decorations in every window on every corner. Walk into the stores and there is always something Special - In the Disney Store, Pluto and Goofy dress up for the Holiday's and make themselves available to have pictures taken, either professionally or with your own personal camera...

Head over to Central Park, and you will see the horse and carriages giving people rides all over the park... There are families ice skating in Rockefeller Center and of course you can't forget the huge tree that is amazing in person!

If you aren't in the Holiday spirit, trust me this will sure put you there! Of Course, things are tight this year... but we must all remember the true reason of the Christmas Holiday, Jesus Christ who was born for us, to eventually die and save us from our sins...
THIS IS TRULY A WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR!
